Sally Brooks
International Associate Faculty
Sally Brooks B.Ed. (Hons) (Leeds, UK), MGT (La Trobe, Australia) is a psychotherapist in private practice in Sydney, Australia with over 15 years experience as a therapist. Sally balances time in the practice with training Gestalt therapists and general counsellors and has a particular interest in the professional development of qualified experienced therapists through supervision and post training workshops and seminars.
Sally combines contemporary, relational Gestalt theory and practice with intersubjective thinking and is currently completing a PhD in the mutual influence of relationship and language in the Dept of Linguistics at Macquarie University in Sydney.
Sally enjoys living on the Northern Beaches of Sydney with her husband and son, and as down time enjoys training and teamwork with her beautiful border collie.

Laurence Hegan
International Associate
Laurence Hegan, MSc. Gestalt Psychotherapy, trained in Gestalt Psychotherapy in London and has developed a relational style through regular participation at The Pacific Gestalt Institute Winter Residential program. He is a trustee, executive director and member of the training faculty at The Edinburgh Gestalt Institute in Scotland UK, having previously been a trainer at Metanoia Institute in London. With over 30 years’ experience in the British National Health Service and University Education System as a clinician, trainer, group facilitator and lecturer, he is now in private practice as a psychotherapist, supervisor and trainer, emphasizing a relational approach to gestalt practice and training in the UK through ongoing involvement with the Gestalt Psychotherapy Training Institute where he is chair of The Training Standards Committee.

Leanne O’Shea
International Associate Faculty
Leanne O’Shea, BTheol., MSc, ClinMGANZ, is a psychotherapist and supervisor in private practice in Melbourne. She studied the Gestalt approach in Melbourne and London, and more recently the relational approach to Gestalt Therapy at the Pacific Gestalt Institute (USA). She is a faculty member of the Relational Center, a Los Angeles based organization whose mission is to promote greater diversity within the helping professions.
She is also interested in creating greater awareness of and sensitivity to our relational responsibility, and is particularly passionate about is the place of sexuality and the erotic within the therapeutic relationship. She is well published and is an inaugural co-editor of the new Gestalt Journal of Australia and New Zealand. Leanne has served as a member of the GANZ Council and is a member of the GANZ Ethics Committee.

Stuart Stawman
International Associate Faculty
Stuart Stawman, MGT, is a practicing psychotherapist, informed by Gestalt and Relational Psychoanalysis and has over 20 years of clinical experience working with individuals, couples and groups. Among his published papers, Stuart has a chapter titled “Relational Gestalt: Four Waves” in the recent book ‘Relational Approaches in Gestalt Therapy’ (2010). Other papers include “Preliminary Thoughts on the Interaction Between Language and Experience” (Gestalt Journal of Australia and New Zealand, 2005, 1:2), and “Empathy and Understanding: Phenomenology and Hermeneutics in Relational Gestalt” soon to appear in the British Gestalt Journal.
He has experience teaching at Masters and Graduate Diploma levels within a number of psychotherapy trainings. Stuart facilitates psychotherapy groups specifically for practicing psychotherapists. Originally from the UK, Stuart now lives on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, Australia, with his wife, son, one cat and a dog.

Claire Taubert
International Associate Faculty
Claire Taubert, BSc, BBSc, BEd(Counselling), ClinMGANZ, MAPS, is a Co-founder and Managing Director of Gestalt Therapy Australia (GTA). She has been involved in the Gestalt community as a student, trainer, therapist, supervisor and member of the GANZ council for over 20 years. She was originally trained in Melbourne and San Diego and has furthered her interests in relational Gestalt with ongoing training with the Pacific Gestalt Institute (USA). Claire has a private practice in Melbourne and Ballarat where she works as a relationally orientated psychotherapist.
She also works as a consultant to various community and mental health organisations facilitating groups and providing coaching and support to managers.
Claire is interested by how early relational experience manifests as enduring character styles in adulthood. Her interest in developmental processes extends to the therapeutic process, how groups develop and function as a entity and the process of training therapists.
