Consultation and Study Groups

At the current time, the following study groups are being offered by PGI faculty members and other PGI certified gestalt therapists. All hours of participation in these groups count for the supervision requirement in the certification process.

Lynne Jacobs is offering an Online Consultation Group on alternate Wednesdays, from 4:30-6, Pacific time. The group is open to those with prior gestalt therapy training.  The fee is $75 per session. The format is flexible, depending on the interests of the members. It can include case discussions, readings, and dyad work, adaptable to desires of the moment.  Lynne can be reached by email.

Michelle Seely is offering an Online Meditation/Gestalt Theory Group called LotusLab that meets weekly on Thursday mornings 6:30-7:30 am Pacific. Christine Campbell is leading an Online Consultation and Study Group two Fridays per month from 11:00-12:45 Pacific Time. Each meeting includes discussion of a reading on current Gestalt therapy theory and practice, as well as a case consultation, in which the focus is on the therapist’s presence from a dialogic perspective. Chris Avitabile is leading an Online Consultation and Study Group which meets on the second and fourth Fridays of the month from 11 to 12:45 Pacific Time.  The fee is $80 per session. After a quick check in, the first half of the meeting is spent in discussion about the reading we’re studying and the clinical application of theory. Chris Avitabile and Kerry Gough are offering an Online Gestalt Study/Consult/Practice Group in the Fall 2025. The group is open to those with prior gestalt therapy training. The format is forming and will be open to (re)forming in real time depending on interest and needs of the day. This group will meet twice a month. Submit application of interest/waitlist

 Mary Ortenburger is forming a 6-person Online Gestalt Consultation Group. The group would meet every other week for a series of 4 weeks (a commitment must be made for 4 consecutive consultations and will not be refunded if the group is missed). This group will be focused on case consultation and discussion using relational gestalt therapy.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    Mary Ortenburger, LMFT, CEDS-S, C-IYAT is a certified gestalt therapist, a certified EMDR therapist and consultant, a certified eating disorder therapist and supervisor, and certified yoga therapist. She is also training in Somatic Experiencing. Jen Leong offers an Online Gestalt Study and Consultation Group, which meets on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays from 11am to 1pm Pacific Time. Each meeting includes a discussion of a Gestalt reading and case consultation, with a focus on the therapist’s awareness and the practice of Dialogue and Phenomenology. The group intentionally explores issues of decolonization and anti-racism.                                                                                                                                           Jen Leong, LMFT, is a PGI Certified Gestalt Therapist in private practice. Jen is formerly an adjunct professor at Antioch University, LA, where she taught Gestalt Therapy, and is currently adjunct faculty at PGI.
